Tharuhat protest extended till Sept 2 as their demand falls on deaf ears

DANG, The Tharuwan/Tharuhat United Struggle Committee has extended its movement until September 2. "A meeting of the struggle committee held on Sunday morning has decided to extend the movement until September 2 saying that the government paid no heed our to demand," said Central Committee Chairman of Tharu Kalyankarini Sabha.

The Tharuhat movement has been taking place since August 12 demanding a single province stretching from Nawalparasi to Kanchanpur.
