4 arrested in connection with Kailali incident

DHANGADHI, Aug 25: Police have arrested four suspects for their alleged involvement in the Monday's Kailali carnage in which nine people including a minor were ruthlessly murdered. According to DIG Ram Kumar Khanal, Chief of Far-Western Regional Police Office, police will carry out an investigation into their alleged involvment in the incident and they will be charged under murder case if found guiltly.

The irate protestors killed SSP Laxman Neupane, Inspector duo Balram Bista and Keshab Bohara, constables Lokendra Chand and Laxman Khadka. Likewise, Armed Police Force (APF) Head Constable Lalit Saud, and constable Ram Bihari Chaudhary were also killed in the clash
A two-year old son of APF Assistant Head Constable Netra Bahadur Saud was also killed by the protestors.

Meanwhile, the house of lawmaker of Madhesi People's Rights Forum (Democratic) Janakraj Chaudhary has been set on fire. A group affiliated to undivided far-west has set fire to the house based in Tikapur Municipality-6, lawmaker Chaudhary told.

However, no human casualties are reported since there were no people in the house. Similarly, FM radio station belonging to Resham Chaudhary has also been set on fire. Locals said the irate group also set fire to some other shops in the market area apart from the two houses.
