Chairman of the Madhesi People's Rights Forum (Democratic) Bijaya Kumar Gachchadar has warned of walking out of the constitution drafting process if the proposed 7-province demarcation is not reviewed.
Addressing the CA meeting on the first day of the deliberation on the Bill on the constitution this morning, Gachchadar said that the proposed seven provinces cannot address the demands of the Nepali people.
According to him, although the proposed provinces succeed in treating the remote hilly regions of the west as part of Nepal, it fail to do the same for the Terai-Madhesh.
He told the House to adopt the eight province model proposed by him since it addresses the demands of the indigenous Tharu and Madhesi communities.
